September 17, 2008 Livan Hernandez took the mound against the Padres on Wednesday and brought his A-game. He threw five innings of shutout ball and allowed just five baserunners in the process. Our View:He is now 2-3 with the Rockies with a robust 8.37 ERA. Hernandez is probably too risky to even stream with right now. |

September 10, 2008 Livan Hernandez had another rough outing on Wednesday allowing eight hits and three walks over just 4.1 innings against the Braves. He did escape without the loss despite allowing four runs. Our View:Please, please, someone in the Rockies organization take a look at the numbers with this guy and do what fantasy leaguers the world over have done - dump this bum. In 28.1 innings with the Rockies spread out over six starts, Livan has posted a 9.85 ERA. |

August 22, 2008 It was yet another shellacking for Livan Hernandez to endure in Colorado, as he picked up his second loss and again gave up six earned runs in 3.2 innings as Colorado fell to the Reds 8-5. Our View:This is getting painful to watch, as Hernandez has started three games for Colorado and has allowed nine, six and six earned runs, respectively, in his starts. |

August 22, 2008 Livan Hernandez is 1-1 with a 15.58 ERA since arriving in Colorado. On the season he's allowed 216 hits and 108 runs in 148.1 innings of work. Hernandez is 2-6 with a 5.21 ERA in 12 career starts against the Reds, his Friday night opponent. Our View:There will plenty of balls put in play tonight with Livan and the not-right Aaron Harang pitching. The Reds figure to break out of their RISP slump and the Roks shouldn't have trouble getting good swings off the injured Harang (neck and forearm). |
