Newsbreakers
June 26, 2008
Micah Bowie, who has been activated from the DL and cleared waivers, has been assigned to Triple-A Colorado Springs, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View:He has recovered from a left forearm injury. He should remain at Triple-A this season, as he allowed eight earned runs and 11 hits over eight innings of work out of the Rockies' pen this season, with five strikeouts.
June 17, 2008
The Rockies transferred Micah Bowie to the 60-day DL Tuesday to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Doug Bernier. Bowie is coming back from a left forearm injury.

Our View:Bowie holds a 9.64 ERA in five rehab appearances, and he's allowed 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings, which suggests that he's not ready to come back anytime soon. He'll likely stay at Triple-A Colorado Springs for a while after his 60 days are up.
June 7, 2008
Micah Bowie, who is recovering from a left forearm ailment, began a rehab stint with Triple-A Colorado Springs on Friday, according to the Colorado Springs Gazette. He worked the seventh inning, and pitched out of a bases loaded jam.

Our View:Bowie allowed eight earned runs and 11 hits over eight innings of action from the Rockies' pen this season, and will hold no fantasy value when he returns.
May 20, 2008
Micah Bowie will throw 15 to 20 pitches off a mound Wednesday to test his ailing arm, and if all goes favorably, he will have a full bullpen session Friday or Saturday, according to the Rocky Mountain News. He is recovering from a strained left forearm.

Our View:Bowie held a 9.00 ERA and 1.75 WHIP over eight innings this season, with five strikeouts, and he does not merit fantasy consideration when he returns.
April 22, 2008
The Colorado Rockies have placed LHP Micah Bowie on the 15-day disabled list, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Bowie has struggled with pain in the forearm of his throwing arm. "This was something that kind of got away from me a little bit too much, and I need a little bit of time off," said Bowie. "It hurts me after I throw - the next day. It's just gotten a little worse. It's something I've never had trouble with before." To fill Bowie's roster spot, the Rockies have recalled LHP Josh Newman from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
