Joe Crede will fly to Texas to have an MRI on his lower back as well as be examined by spine specialist Andrew Dossett, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:If Chicago makes the playoffs, Crede is not expected to be available, meaning the impending free agent has likely played his last game for the team.
September 22, 2008
Joe Crede is not expected back this season, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Manager Ozzie Guillen said, "I don't think Joe will be back this year. He could be back but not be playing. It's going to be hard for him to come back and do it. He said the doctor found out what happened. From what he told me, we can't count on him this season."

Our View:He is still dealing with inflammation in his back, and his prognosis is to continue his rehab program. Crede will become a free agent in the off-season, and has likely played his last game for the White Sox. He will always be remembered in Chicago for his heroics through their magical World Series run in 2005.
September 20, 2008
White Sox third baseman Joe Crede has still not told the club what the results were from the second opinion he got about his ailing back, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. "No Crede for the rest of the season. That's my opinion," said manager Ozzie Guillen.

Our View:It seems likely that Crede will not be back the rest of the season, so fantasy owners waiting for his triumphant return should move on.
September 14, 2008
White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen would like Crede to return in 2009, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Our View:Crede is having more back problems and the White Sox can save money by using Josh Fields, so Crede's return in 2009 seems somewhat unlikely.
September 11, 2008
Joe Crede will go for a second opinion on his ailing back as he will visit a specialist in Dallas, according to the Associated Press. “It’s still just a little sore and I’m taking it day to day, and you know we’re going to get another opinion by a doctor and just kinda go from there,” said Crede.

Our View:Crede has been unable to do any baseball related drills of late, and it's growing more likely that his 2008 season is finished. Juan Uribe will continue to fill in at the third base spot.
