May 18, 2008 While reports from earlier in the week indicate Mets LHP Scott Schoeneweis is doing well following what doctors believe may have been a bout with inflammation in his appendix, the hurler failed to make an appearance for New York as expected on Saturday, according to Our View:The team is expected to keep Schoeneweis listed as day-to-day on the disabled reports, but he could be activated at any time. If/when such news comes, we will update. |

May 15, 2008 Updating an earlier report, Scott Schoeneweis is fine after receiving a medical scare, this according to Our View:Turns out the doctors think that scar tissue from his bout with testicular cancer caused an inflammation to his appendix, but the decision was made that he doesn't need any further medical work which is great news. |
