Aaron Harang allowed four earned runs on eight hits over seven innings in Monday's 7-5 win over Florida at the Great American Ballpark, with two walks and six strikeouts.

Our View:It wasn't a strong outing, but the Reds provided enough run support for him to claim his sixth win of the season. He has now won back-to-back starts, and looks to get one more at St. Louis.

Aaron Harang has had a dismal season but on Wednesday night he had his best start of the year. In the Reds' 4-0 win over the Cardinals, Harang went nine shutout innings while striking out four.

Our View:Harang lowered his ERA to 4.70 while winning his fifth game of the year. Even though Harang's strikeout numbers have been there (141), but his poor won-loss record is as much a result of abysmal run support as it is his own struggles.

Aaron Harang had one of his best starts in a forgettable season against the Diamondbacks on Friday - and still picked up his 16th loss. He allowed just one unearned run in seven innings while giving up just four hits and one walk.

Our View:Well, on the bright side, he managed to get his ERA back under 5.00 to 4.96. Harang still carries a high strikeout rate but his knack for picking up losses continues to haunt his owners who expected far better.
September 4, 2008
Dusty Baker said it would be up to Reds pitcher Aaron Harang whether or not he would pitch if he loses four more games and his record drops to 4-19, according to the Dayton Daily News. "I'd try not to let him do that. But I would leave it up to him. It would be his decision," Baker said.

Our View:The chances of this happening are remote, because Harang may not get five more starts in the rotation, not to mention the fact that he has been pitching a bit better recently.
September 2, 2008
Aaron Harang lost his 15th game of the season, though he did not pitch poorly, surrendering just three runs in six innings as the Pirates downed the Reds 3-2.

Our View:Harang continues to be a somewhat popular fantasy player, even though he has lost five of his last six outings, and has generally been horrible in them.
