November 13, 2008 Wilson Betemit will head to Chicago, as he was part of the deal that sent Nick Swisher to the Yankees from the White Sox, according to Our View:Betemit hit a respectable .265 with six home runs in 189 at-bats, but his on-base percentage was a horrific .289, as he walked just six times while striking out 56. He'll likely be a role player for the White Sox, limiting any fantasy value. |

August 13, 2008 Wilson Betemit went 2-for-3 in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to Minnesota. Both of his hits were singles, and accounted for two of the Yankees' five hits in the contest. Alex Rodriguez registered the only extra base hit with a double. Our View:Betemit started the game at shortstop in place of the injured Derek Jeter. Betemit serves solid depth for the Yankees, like today, but isn't likely going to see enough at-bats the rest of the way to make him a favorable fantasy option. |
