Our View:Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff. Gardner is at no-throw status for six months. He held no fantasy value, as he allowed eight earned runs on 14 hits over 6.2 innings, with four walks.
June 3, 2008 Lee Gardner had a follow-up visit with Dr. James Andrews in Alabama, according to MLB.com. Gardner has right elbow inflammation as well as shoulder discomfort, and it is believed that Andrews is examining his shoulder.
Our View:Gardner fared well in 2007, but has not had the same success this season, as he allowed eight runs and 14 hits over 6.2 innings of work.
