December 20, 2008 The Orioles have garnered interest in Phillies' catcher Chris Coste, according to Our View:The Orioles have engaged in trade talks but it is unknown what the Phillies would want in return. The Orioles need to replace Ramon Hernandez, and Coste would be a favorable choice as he hit .263 with nine homers over 98 games in 2008. |

August 26, 2008 Chris Coste didn't start Tuesday, but he did plenty of damage. The catcher came on as a pinch hitter and ended up going 4-for-4 at the plate with the game-winning single. Our View:Coste is a far superior offensive option than Carlos Ruiz, but he'll continue to share time with him. |
