August 30, 2008 The Baltimore Orioles have recalled Oscar Salazar from Triple-A Norfolk, filling the spot vacated by Radhames Liz, optioned to Norfolk this morning, according to the Sports Network. Our View:Salazar hit .235 with two homers and four RBI in 17 at-bats over nine games for Baltimore in 2008. |

June 27, 2008 Oscar Salazar has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk, according to the AP. He was demoted to free up a roster spot for Brandon Fahey. Our View:Salazar fared well over 17 brief at-bats with Baltimore this season, as he hit two homers with four RBI, but will have to wait for another chance to prove his worth. |

June 15, 2008 Oscar Salazar is penciled in as the starting first baseman for the Orioles today and is hitting seventh in the batting order. Our View:Kevin Millar fouled a pitch off his knee last week and was hurt running out a grounder versus the Red Sox. He's been gimpy ever since. Millar is serving as the designated hitter against Lefty Paul Maholm and the Pirates today. |

June 10, 2008 The Orioles have purchased infielder Oscar Salazar's contract from Triple-A Norfolk, according to the Baltimore Sun. As an adjoining move, pitcher Steve Trachsel has been designated for assignment. Our View:The 29-year old was batting .311 with 23 doubles, seven homers and 44 RBI at Norfolk. His only major league experience consists of eight games with the Detroit Tigers in 2002. He holds no fantasy value. |
