Yorvit Torrealba met with team doctors Monday and he expects to have surgery Wednesday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, according to the Rocky Mountain News. He is expecting a speedy recovery and said, "I was told I will be able to walk out of the room when it is over."

Our View:Torrealba will not be missed as a fantasy catcher during the stretch run in September, as he merely ranked as a No. 2 option in NL-only leagues.

Yorvit Torrealba has been placed on the 15-day DL due to a torn meniscus in his left knee, according to the AP. Catcher Adam Melhuse has been recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs as the corresponding move.

Our View:Torrealba may opt for season-ending surgery, and does not believe the injury is going to get better. Torrealba won't be missed much by Colorado as the club will be in good shape with Chris Iannetta at catcher. He won't be missed by fantasy owners either, with a .246 batting average and only six homers over 70 games.

Yorvit Torrealba has a torn meniscus in his left knee and is considering potentially season-ending surgery, according to the Denver Post. He said, "I don't mean to be negative, but I don't think it's going to get better. I hope it responds. But I have played with this for around six weeks. It got a little better, now it's back to the same spot that it was."

Our View:The team will be in good shape with Chris Iannetta at catcher if Torrealba ultimately has surgery, and fantasy owners won't miss much, as he only holds a .246 batting average with six homers over 70 games.

Yorvit Torrealba's left knee felt much better Friday and he went through normal pregame activity, according to MLB.com. Manager Clint Hurdle said Torrealba may start on Saturday.

Our View:Torrealba hasn't played since Sunday, but with the way Chris Iannetta has hit this year, the Rox haven't missed him.

Rockies catcher Yorvit Torrealba has a small meniscus tear, located in his left knee, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View:Torrealba was scratched from the lineup and received a cortisone shot. It is unknown how long he will be out.
