Jeremy Bonderman, whose season ended early due to thoracic outlet syndrome, plans to be be ready for the start of the 2009 campaign, according to MLB.com. Bonderman hopes to start playing in the next month or two and start throwing with more authority as the range of motion in his pitching shoulder loosens up. Bonderman believes he's getting close to that, and he's optimistic enough that he plans on heading to the team's Spring Training facility in Lakeland, Florida, right after Christmas. He said, "I think I'll be all right. From the last time I was in Texas with the Tigers in August to now, I've improved tremendously. I'm just a little bit away."

Our View:Bonderman should pitch better in 2009, but is still yet to win more than 14 games in a season, or hold an ERA below 4.08.

Jeremy Bonderman, who is out for the year due to thoracic outlet syndrome, believes he will be back at 100 percent strength for training camp next season, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Our View:Hopefully he will have better luck in 2009, as he went 3-4 over 12 starts this season, with a poor 1.56 WHIP.
June 30, 2008
Jeremy Bonderman underwent surgery Monday to correct a condition that caused a blood clot in his pitching arm, this according to the Detroit Free Press. Bonderman was 3-4 with a 4.29 ERA in 12 starts before being placed on the disabled list on June 7th.

Our View:The team has not put a timetable on Bonderman’s return to the mound, but his season is officially over though the team hopes he will be able to pitch at the start of the 2009 season.
June 17, 2008
Jeremy Bonderman will undergo potentially season-ending surgery on June 30 to repair thoracic outlet syndrome, according to MLB.com. The Tigers will wait until after the surgery to give a timetable for a potential return for the righty.

Our View:It's pretty safe to go ahead and cut Jeremy loose. It's not as if he was providing much fantasy value while he was healthy, anyway.
June 11, 2008
The Tigers report RHP Jeremy Bonderman will be examined by a specialist next week to determine the cause of a blood clot that kept him off the mound last weekend, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Bonderman will be examined on Tuesday in Dallas. The clot is believed to have been caused by a rib, and if doctors determine that to be true, Bonderman may require surgery to have the rib removed, resulting in an end to his season. We will update as news becomes available.
