Indians catcher Victor Martinez had his suspension reduced from three games to two, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

Our View:Martinez was suspended for his role in the fracas between Gary Sheffield and Fausto Carmona. Martinez will start to serve his suspension Thursday evening.

Our View:Maybe he's thinking about his upcoming suspension, but this was not a quality evening for Martinez. Fantasy owners would love to see a monster remainder of the season to make up for the poor numbers Martinez has put up.

Victor Martinez was suspended for three games for his role in the Tigers-Indians brawl from last Friday, according to the Associated Press. Martinez is scheduled to begin his suspension tonight, though no word is yet available on whether he will appeal.

Our View:This suspension is for one more game than the amount of home runs that he has hit this year (two), so perhaps the league will take pity on him and lower the suspension to two games for the sake of symmetry. Stay tuned.

Indians catcher Victor Martinez called out Tigers slugger Gary Sheffield after Sheffield charged Fausto Carmona from first base, according to the Detroit Free Press. "This guy, I don't know how many years he has, but his act is tired - all that macho, throwing your equipment off, all this stuff. Trust me: He don't want none of me," Martinez stated.

Our View:Know what fantasy owners want from you, Victor? Home runs. One of the most disappointing players in fantasy this year, Martinez suffered an arm injury, keeping him away for some time, and he has just two round-trippers on the season.
