MLB.com reports that catcher Yadier Molina was awarded his first Gold Glove of his career on Wednesday.

Our View:Molina has been one of the top catchers in the game since he won a regular starting job. He was robbed of the award last season when Brad Ausmus took it home.

Manager Tony LaRussa commented that he expects Yadier Molina to return at some point during the Cardinals' final seven games, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:The team is still reluctant to put him in position where he can aggravate his bruised thigh.
September 21, 2008
Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina is unsure when he will be able to return from his deep thigh bruise, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "I thought it was going to take two or three days," Molina remarked.

Our View:Molina has had a solid year behind the plate, but offers fantasy owners little in any one statistic. He is best suited for NL-only leagues.
September 19, 2008
Yadier Molina remains bothered by his deep quad bruise, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Manager Tony LaRussa is not optimistic Molina will return to action for this weekend's series against the Cubs, and believes he is more likely to return when the Cardinals start a homestand against Arizona Monday.
September 18, 2008
Again on Thursday, Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina was not in the lineup due to a nagging thigh injury, according to the Cardinals official web site. Molina suffered the injury on September 10th and has only played in one game since then.

Our View:The team has said that Molina might return when the Cardinals return home next Monday but they even say that might not be the case. Molina has had his best year at the plate, hitting .305.
