August 1, 2008 Brian Bruney was activated from the 60-day DL on while the team demoted Chris Britton to clear roster space, according to the Our View:Bruney was on the DL with a torn ligament in his foot and hasn't pitched in the majors since April 22nd. Bruney could end up filling a substantial role with the recent loss of Kyle Farnsworth, but he hasn't exactly impressed of late in the minors. |
