October 16, 2008 Andre Ethier went 0-for-4 in the Dodgers final playoff game to end his post-season with an anemic .188 batting average and not a single RBI in eight games. Our View:Manny Ramirez did his thing but Ethier, Manny's sidekick down the stretch when he hit .335 with a .991 OPS over his final 56 games, simply failed to produce anythin at the plate. His prospects are bright for 2009, but Ethier went out with a whimper in '08. |

September 21, 2008 Andre Ethier went 2-for-5 on Sunday to drop his average in the month of September to .468 in 62 AB. Our View:Ethier is hitting .301 with 20 home runs and 74 RBI and appears to have solidified his role as a starter for the Dodgers in 2009. Now the team must decide what to do with Andruw Jones and Juan Pierre, two old players who struggled terribly this season, if they bring back Manny Ramirez. |

September 16, 2008 Andre Ethier has returned to the Dodgers and will be in the lineup on Tuesday night according to the Our View:Hopefully Ethier can pick up where he left off. In 10 september games he has put together an incredible 1.701 OPS to go with a .595 average, 12 RBI, and 14 runs. |

September 13, 2008 Updating an earlier report, Andre Ethier was not in the Dodgers' lineup tonight as he left the team to attend to his wife for the birth of their first child, according to Our View:Manager Joe Torre noted that he will be gone for a few days. Ethier will be missed as he is the hottest hitter in the majors, averaging .595 since September 1, and he leads the club on the season with a .302 average and 20 homers. |
