Fernando Nieve has been sent down to Triple-A Round Rock after allowing four runs without recording an out in Sunday's loss to the Phillies, according to the Houston Chronicle. Nieve said, "I'm happy, because my arm feels good. I know I didn't do the job that was expected from me, and I'll just go down and keep working and try to get some consistency in my stride. I hope to be back soon." The team also called up pitcher Jack Cassel.

Our View:Nieve allowed six runs and 10 hits over three innings, with one walk and two strikeouts. He held no fantasy value prior to his demotion.

Fernando Nieve has been called up from Triple-A Round Rock, according to the Houston Chronicle. He will replace injured reliever Geoff Geary, who left Thursday's game with a strained right groin, on the 40-man roster.
