December 10, 2008
The Mets landed prized free agent closer Francisco Rodriguez, but reportedly still have interest in the Rockies' Huston Street, according to Sports Illustrated.

Our View:The Mets are seemingly working on adding a strong setup man to complement their new record-setting closer. The only wrench in the deal to acquire Street is that Colorado wants Jon Niese, who the Mets do not want to part with.
December 8, 2008
Any team who is looking to acquire Huston Street from the Colorado Rockies will have to pony up, as the team is looking for a lot in return, MLB.com reports.

Our View:Manny Corpas is expected to close for Colorado next year, making Street a setup man. Clearly, should he be dealt and labeled a closer, his fantasy value immediately would rise.
December 2, 2008
The Yankees may be interested in trading for Huston Street of the Rockies, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Street would be a strong setup man for the Yankees, but it is uncertain what the Yankees would have to give up to acquire him.
November 26, 2008
The Mets offered Aaron Heilman in a trade for reliever Huston Street, but the Rockies shot down the deal after the Mets also asked for Pedro Feliciano, according to the Hot Stove Blog on MLB.com.

Our View:If the Mets did acquire Street, they would still likely pursue closers Francisco Rodriguez or Brian Fuentes, moving Street to a setup role.

The Mets are reportedly interested in trading for Huston Street of the Rockies, according to NYBaseballDigest.com.

Our View:The Mets would like to use Street as a setup man, with the assumption they will land either Francisco Rodriguez or Brian Fuentes to be their closer. Aaron Heilman would be expected to be part of a trade with the Rockies, who wanted Heilman to be part of their rotation since 2006.
