Newsbreakers
April 19, 2008
Shawn Camp is expected to join the Blue Jays bullpen on Saturday after being recalled to the majors from Triple-A Syracuse, this according to MLB.com.

Our View:Camp has ridden his new changeup to solid success with a 3.00 ERA in 12 innings in training camp. In the minors he went 10 innings without allowing a run, and now he will call Toronto his home, though his value will be limited as he won't be in the mix to pick up saves when B.J. Ryan is unavailable.

Shawn Camp, a 32-old relief pitcher who spent the last two seasons with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, agreed to a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, with an invitation to spring training. Camp was 0-3 with a 7.20 ERA in 50 appearances last season.
July 29, 2007
The Devil Rays have optioned Shawn Camp to Triple-A Durham. Since he has a 7.20 ERA and 2.02 WHIP, this should have no bearing on any fantasy rosters.
July 4, 2006
Shawn Camp pitched the final 1 2/3 innings for the Devil Rays on Tuesday and earned his fourth save. Camp allowed three earned runs in the ninth, but it didn't matter because the Rays had a six-run lead.
June 14, 2006
With Tyler Walker now on the DL with a right shoulder sprain, Shawn Camp could see some save chances over the next week or two. Camp, who holds a 3.86 ERA in 31 games this year, has tallied three saves on the season, which is third on the team behind Walker and the injured Dan Miceli.
