Josh Banks twirled seven effective innings against the Giants on Friday night allowing two runs, one earned, over seven innings on the hill in a no-decision.

Our View:One of the runs scored on a passed ball, or he would have been in line for a win. He walked only one batter on the night with two strike outs as he lowered his ERA to 3.65.

San Diego hurler Josh Banks won his third game of the season tonight, but did not do it in impressive fashion, giving up five earned runs in 5.2 innings.

Our View:Banks allowed just one earned run in his first 23 innings this season, but in his last 23.1 innings, he has given up 17 runs. It might be wise to look somewhere else for pitching help in fantasy leagues.

Josh Banks surrendered four earned runs on six hits over five innings in Tuesday's 4-0 loss to Colorado, with three walks and four strikeouts.

Our View:Banks falls to 2-3, with his losses coming in three straight starts. He has allowed four runs in each of his last two, and is best left on your bench until he proves to be an effective starter again.
June 26, 2008
Josh Banks fell to 2-2 on Thursday as he allowed seven hits and two walks, leading to four runs, over 5.1 innings against the Twins.

Our View:Banks has been a great story, one who's ending is looking grim. After allowing one earned run in his first four appearances, Banks has faltered a bit of late with a 5.17 ERA over his last three starts, none of which lasted more than 5.1 innings. He hasn't pitched his way out of the rotation, yet.
