August 26, 2008 Wandy Rodriguez was fantastic Tuesday, allowing just one run on three hits and a walk while striking out 10 over seven innings. He got a no-decision in the loss to Cincinnati. Our View:Wandy has struggled since July, so it's good to see him come through with a nice outing. |

August 20, 2008 Houston hurler Wandy Rodriguez saw his record drop to 7-6 as the Astros were downed by the Brewers 5-2. Rodriguez was wild, throwing five bases on balls in 5.1 innings, but allowing just two earned runs. He also struck out six in the contest. Our View:Rodriguez has had a poor August, and has walked 11 batters in his last eight innings over two outings. That certainly won't help fantasy owners in the WHIP department. |

August 10, 2008 Wandy Rodriguez picked up his seventh win of the year in Houston's 13-4 beat-down of the Reds. Rodriguez went 6.2 innings, allowing two earned runs while striking out seven. Our View:Rodriguez has been a solid though unspectacular fantasy performer. He will help in all areas, but if he could ever stop allowing so many home runs, he would be even better. |

August 5, 2008 Wandy Rodriguez stumbled against the Cubs on Tuesday afternoon. The southpaw allowed nine hits and six runs over five innings. Rodriguez took a no-decision. His road ERA grew to 4.81, which is notably above his mark at home (3.31). Our View:Rodriguez remains maddeningly inconsistent, although he is a bit more bankable at home. He is useful in all types of leagues, but it's tough to know when he'll look like an ace and when he'll blow up. |

July 30, 2008 After back-to-back outings of one run allowed, Wandy Rodriguez took a step back on Wednesday allowing six runs in just 4.2 innings of work in his fourth loss of the year. Our View:Wandy allowed three home runs on the night while needing 87 pitches to record 14 outs. Over his last six starts Rodriguez has a 5.45 ERA and 1.61 WHIP, a far cry from earlier in the year when he was on quite a role. |
