Newsbreakers
September 20, 2008
Nate Schierholtz will probably be back with the Giants on Saturday after missing some time with a strained pectoral muscle, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View:Schierholtz has good numbers, but in just 44 at-bats, it is difficult for fantasy owners to trust him, especially because he has accumulated only two RBI.
September 16, 2008
Nate Schierholtz likely will be sidelined for a day or two with soreness in his right shoulder and pectoral muscle, according to MLB.com. Schierholtz injured himself Sunday while making a sliding catch.

Our View:Dave Roberts will get some playing time with Schierholtz out.
September 7, 2008
Nate Schierholtz continues to rake, as he went 2-for-3 in the Giants 11-6 win over the Pirates. Schierholtz is hitting .500 so far on the season.

Our View:Okay, that .500 is in just 22 at-bats, but it is impressive nonetheless. Schierholtz should be given a peek in NL-only leagues if he is going to see regular playing time.
September 3, 2008
Nate Schierholtz was 4-for-5 with three runs scored in the Giants 9-2 win over the Rockies on Wednesday.

Our View:Back-to-back multi-hit games just might earn Nate more playing time in the outfield down the stretch.
September 3, 2008
Nate Schierholtz has been recalled from Triple-A Fresno, according to the SF Chronicle.

Our View:Schierholtz performed well in the Beijing Olympics and could see enough action with the Giants in the final month to merit him worth consideration for NL-only leagues.
