June 12, 2008 There is speculation that outfielder Brandon Jones has been called up from Triple-A to show off his talent to set him up for a potential trade, according to the Our View:Josh Anderson was optioned to Triple-A to make room for Jones, which was viewed as a surprising swap of outfielders. Manager Bobby Cox defended the move by saying that the team wanted to have the option of using Jones in left field and letting Greg Norton see some time at first base, so Mark Teixeira could be used as a DH during next week's interleague slate. |
