Our View:Petit held his own at the plate in his brief time with the A's, but he wasn't getting enough playing time to be worthy of a fantasy roster spot.

Gregorio Petit has been recalled by the Athletics on Friday, the third time he has been recalled this season, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:In 58 games with the River Cats this season, Petit was hitting .285 with 25 RBI in 58 games. He is merely a depth player at the moment with the A's.

Our View:Petit, 24, can hit for a good average, but he doesn't bring any offensive skills to the table. He'll be a backup middle infielder while Bobby Crosby is out.
