Alcides Escobar was one of 10 Brewers who were called up on Monday, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Here are the others: Mat Gamel, Angel Salome, Brad Nelson, Mitch Stetter, Tim Dillard, Mark DiFelice, Joe Dillon, Tony Gwynn Jr. and catcher Vinny Rottino.

Our View:Escobar, the third ranked prospect in the Brewers system according to Baseball America, is a shortstop who hit .328-7-76 with 34 stolen bases in the minors this season. Obviously, he won't be stealing many ABs from J.J. Hardy, but the kid has skills.
