Renteria was not offered arbitration by the Tigers, so the Giants do not lose draft picks by signing him. |

Our View: Even though Sanchez had his struggles this year, left-handers with talent don't grow on trees. He just turned 26, and last season was his first in the big leagues as a full-time starter. Cantu is a solid player, but is a free swinger who walked just 40 times in 668 plate appearances last season. |
