Free agent forward Ime Udoka agreed to a deal with San Antonio on Monday, the San Antonio Express-News reported. Udoka is the likely successor to Bruce Bowen after agreeing on a two-year deal worth slightly more than $2 million. Udoka proved his worth with the Blazers last year and should be a good fit in San Antonio's system. His fantasy value takes a big hit, however, as he'll likely go from starting in Portland to backing up Bowen in San Antonio.

Looking for perimeter shooting, the Grizzlies signed guard Casey Jacobsen on Monday. The Memphis Commercial-Appeal reported that Jacobsen, who last played in the NBA during the 2004-05 season, gives Memphis 13 players under contract—the maximum number that general manager Chris Wallace has said the team will start the season with. Memphis has also had talks with free agent Ime Udoka. Jacobsen might hit a three or two per game, but otherwise supplies little else and won't be of use to fantasy owners this season.

Blazers forward Ime Udoka will sit out the rest of the season because of a knee injury, the Associated Press reported. Udoka has been playing with a slightly torn meniscus in his right knee for awhile, and he and the team finally decided it was time to let him rest. He will need surgery this offseason to repair the injury. Udoka had stretches this season where he was fantasy relevant, but he hadn't been doing much lately even with Portland missing several players due to injury. Udoka might end up being the odd man out in next year's rotation despite playing well this year if Portland is able to get everyone back healthy, so he shouldn't be viewed as a sleeper at this point.
