September 1, 2008 Amare Stoudemire went on a trip to Sierra Leone to help build water wells and try to improve the country's sanitation, according to Our View:This has little to do with fantasy basketball, other than knowing Stoudemire is healthy, but it is nice to see. The Suns forward is trying to improve the safety of drinking water and sanitation because so many in Sierra Leone die from it. According to ESPN.com, the average life expectancy in the country is 26 years. |
