In an evening the fans of Philadelphia can't forget soon enough, the 76ers failed to post a single player of note in their 88-105 loss to the Detroit Pistons in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series. Forward Reggie Evans , coming off the bench, was the team's top producer on the evening, shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 5-of-10 from the free-throw line to score 13 points with 11 total rebounds.

Our View:Evans was the only player to record double-digit rebound numbers for the Sixers and was topped only by guard Louis Williams, also coming off the bench, with 17 points.

The 76ers once again worked a trade with the Denver Nuggets, pulling off a four-player deal that landed Reggie Evans in Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Evans and the rights to forward Ricky Sanchez wound up with the 76ers, while the Nuggets picked up forward Bobby Jones and forward/center Steven Hunter. The move saves Denver some valuable dollars, while the Sixers took care of arguably their biggest need by bringing in a rebounder.

Our View:Evans was in a bad spot in Denver because of a glut of players at his position. The move to Philly is a big shot in the arm because even if he doesn’t start – which he probably will – Evans will get several more minutes than the 17.1 he averaged a year ago. He led the NBA in rebounds per 48 minutes (19.7) last season, so expect him to be among the league leaders if he stays healthy this season.

It will be a game-time call as to whether Reggie Evans will be able to play on Monday, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Evans sprained his right ankle on Saturday.
