July 28, 2008 Center Nenad Krstic could be headed to Russia. The 25-year-old big man has a two-year contract in place with a Russian club, and he will sign it if the Nets are unable to complete a sign-and-trade NBA deal by the end of Monday, the Our View:A major knee injury cost Krstic huge chunks of the last two seasons, but he remains a promising center with good skills on the offensive end. As with Josh Childress, this would be a decent-sized blow to the NBA, and it would weaken the fantasy center rankings a little bit. |

July 11, 2008 With 15 players under contract, it appears unlikely the Nets will match an offer for restricted free agent Nenad Krstic. Our View:Krstic was mostly ineffective last season during his attempt to come back from knee surgery. Still, a seven-footer with a decent jump shot will be able to find a home somewhere. |

June 27, 2008 The New Jersey Nets have made a qualifying offer to Nenad Krstic, making him a restricted free agent, which means they can match any offer he receives, reports the Our View:Krstic started 38 games for New Jersey last season, after rebounding from a torn ACL he suffered in January of 2007. Before that, he was having a good season, putting up 16.4 points, nearly seven rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot per game. He is certainly somebody to keep an eye on for fantasy purposes. |
