As expected, the Bulls have signed guard Lindsey Hunter, according to the Toronto Star. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Our View:The 37-year-old vet was brought in to provide depth to an injury-riddled backcourt, with Kirk Hinrich out for around three months due to thumb surgery and with Larry Hughes still hindered by a preseason shoulder injury. Rookie Derrick Rose has been suffering from back spasms as well. Hunter will help, but will hold little to no fantasy value during his stint with the Bulls.

The Chicago Bulls are going to sign free agent guard Lindsey Hunter on Wednesday, according to the Detroit Free-Press.

Our View:Hunter is 37 years old, but the Bulls need a veteran in the backcourt because Kirk Hinrich will be out for a number of months with a thumb injury, and rookie Derrick Rose has been logging a lot of minutes and has been having back spasms.

The NBA suspended Lindsey Hunter for 10 days without pay on Wednesday for testing positive for a banned substance, according to the Detroit News. He tested positive for phentermine, a common ingredient in weight loss pills. Hunter admitted to taking his wife's weight loss pills while he was trying to come back from a foot injury. "It's not a steroid or anything. I'm not any bigger or anything. It is what it is. I've never had a problem like this in my life. "It's just sort of a bonehead mistake by me." Hunter's suspension began on Wednesday against the Cavs.
