November 30, 2008 Matt Barnes hit four three-pointers and hit 6-of-8 shots to finish with 18 points and eight rebounds as the Suns fell 117-109 to the Nets. Our View:Barnes has been a valuable fantasy player this season mostly because of his two-plus three-pointers per game. However, his rebounding numbers are also near the top of small forwards. |

November 17, 2008 Matt Barnes returned from a one-game suspension on Monday and started for the Phoenix Suns. He scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds as his team lost 97-109 to the Jazz. Our View:Barnes is enjoying a good season with his new team and is certainly worth rostering in most leagues. |

November 12, 2008 Matt Barnes was ejected from Wednesday's Phoenix-Houston matchup after inciting a scrum with a major league push of Rafer Alston. Tracy McGrady, Steve Nash, Shaquille O'Neal and Yao Ming were also involved in the scuffle. Alston was the only other player ejected. Our View:Surprisingly, Nash, TMac, and Shaq remained in the game after an embarassing incident, but you can expect commissioner David Stern to come out of his solid gold castle to handout some suspensions. Nash would go on to hit a half-court three to end the third quarter minutes later, which was later called back after review. On a night with some amazing highlights and performances, this incident figures to dominate NBA headlines tomorrow. |
