Francisco Garcia (calf) could return on Friday and coach Reggie Theus cannot wait, according to the Sacramento Bee. "His competitiveness is something we need desperately," said Theus, whose team has lost seven of its last eight games. "It's his attitude. He's one of the leaders on this team, a verbal, emotional leader. He wants the ball down the stretch. He's a guy who stretches the defense. Last year, he was one of the best on-ball defenders we had."

Our View:Garcia is good enough for a bench spot in fantasy leagues, but there's no need to rush out and pick him up. Wait for him to prove he is healthy before grabbing him. If you happen to miss out on him, it will not make or break your season. The Kings have just two games next week.

The Sacramento Bee reports that Francisco Garcia (calf) will practice for the first time this season once the team returns from their two-game road trip.

Our View:Garcia figures to play a bigger role this season now that Ron Artest has left the roster. He averaged 12.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game last season.

Francisco Garcia is expected to miss up to another two weeks with a strained calf that he suffered in the preseason, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View:Garcia signed a long term extension with the Kings this past summer and you can expect him to play nearly 30 minutes per game for the struggling Kings. He should be worthy of a bench spot in most leagues.
