March 4, 2008 Amir Johnson played 20 minutes in a pretty tight game against the Sonics on Tuesday, scored five points, pulled down eight boards, stole two balls and blocked two shots. The Pistons were able to give some of their younger players some extra action tonight, so vets Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess could rest up for Wednesday's throwdown with the C's. Johnson doesn't see regular enough action to warrant a roster spot now, but if the Pistons clinch their playoff spot, the talented, 20-year-old Johnson could provide some decent big-man numbers during the final week or so of the season. |
