May 28, 2008 Chicago center Joakim Noah has accepted a deferred prosecution agreement concerning his recent marijuana possession arrest, resulting in six months' probation and a $200 fine, according to the Our View:Noah was arrested earlier this week in Florida for drinking in public and officers found marijuana in his possession upon the resulting search. As a first-time offender, Noah was eligible for the deferred sentence. If he can avoid legal issues for the next six months, the charge will be dropped. |

May 28, 2008 Joakim Noah had a more interesting weekend than previously indicated. Along with alcohol and marijuana violations, the big man was issued two traffic citations - one for driving with a suspended license and one for not wearing a seat belt, Our View:Stay hot, Joakim. At this point, we don't know that any of these issues will cause Noah to miss time in the upcoming 2008-09 season. The Bulls don't currently have a coach to scold the youngster. |
