September 29, 2008 The Our View:In 28 games with the Suns last season, Shaq averaged 12.9 points and 10.6 rebounds while shooting 61 percent from the floor. Obviously his free throw shooting is atrocious and he tuens the ball over far too often but he remains a decent bench pick despite his limitations. With new coach Terry Porter running the show, the Suns will use a lot more set plays this season resulting in more touches for the big fella. The bigger concern is the lingering injury in his left hip. |

September 11, 2008 Shaquille O'Neal will play this season and next and then call it a career, according to the Our View:The 36 year old O'Neal missed 20 games last season and seemed to have a bit of trouble integrating his game into the Suns offense. O'Neal has appeared in as many as 67 games only once in the past seven seasons, so don't go grabbing Shaq on draft day merely because of name recognition. |
