Rodney Stuckey, G Sunday 10/12, 6:25 PM CT
Rodney Stuckey played 33 minutes in Saturday's 111-99 win over Milwaukee. He scored 15 points, 10 assists and five steals in the win.

Our View: Stuckey should provide good production off of the bench this season for the Pistons. Should the Pistons' backcourt suffer an unlikely injury, Stuckey will provide excellent fantasy numbers.
Walter Herrmann, F Sunday 10/12, 11:57 AM CT
Walter Herrmann remains out of action while nursing sore ribs, according to MLive.com.

Our View: He has missed the Pistons' last three preseason games, and the team is unclear when he will be ready to return. As a fantasy prospect, he holds no value.
Chauncey Billups, G Saturday 10/11, 10:22 PM CT
Guard Chauncey Billups sprained his right ankle during Saturday's preseason win over the Bucks. The injury is not considered to be serious, MLive.com reports.

Our View: We'll follow up on Chauncey's status when more is known. His ailment could open up minutes for Rodney Stuckey, whom we're led to believe is the greatest thing to hit Motown since Smokey Robinson.
Arron Afflalo, G Saturday 10/11, 10:15 PM CT
Guard Arron Afflalo led the Pistons with 28 points in Saturday's preseason win over the Bucks. He hit 10-of-12 shots from the floor (including two threes) and sunk 6-of-7 at the line. Afflalo added two rebounds, two assists, and two steals over 25 minutes.

Our View: It looks like the Bucks defense is already in midseason form. Afflalo could see increased minutes this season, but he won't have any fantasy value unless an injury takes out Rip Hamilton.
Rasheed Wallace, F Friday 10/10, 8:38 PM CT
Rasheed Wallace led the Pistons with a mere 12 points in Friday's 71-60 preseason win over the Wizards. He also notched five boards and a block. He played exactly 24 minutes.

Our View: Wallace should remain productive with the Pistons this season, and is a solid value pick for the later rounds of the fantasy draft.
Rodney Stuckey, G Friday 10/10, 7:59 AM CT
Rodney Stuckey will be the first man off the bench for the Detroit Pistons, and should play significant minutes, according to the Detroit Free-Press.

Our View: Stuckey put in 7.6 points per game last year in just 19 minutes of action per game. Expect that number, and his rebounding and assist totals to rise. Still, it may not be enough to make him worthy of a spot on fantasy rosters.
Chauncey Billups, G Wednesday 10/8, 9:52 PM CT
Chauncey Billups scored 12 points to go along with five assists in the Pistons' 85-71 win over the Bucks on Wednesday night.

Our View: Billups played 26 minutes on Wednesday night as he prepares for the season. A year ago the point guard scored 17 points a game and averaged six assists a game.
Arron Afflalo, G Wednesday 10/8, 9:41 PM CT
Arron Afflalo led the Pistons to a 85-71 win over the Bucs. The guard scored 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting and was perfect from behind the arc in three attempts.

Our View: There is word out of Detroit that Afflalo could see some more playing time in 2008-2009. If he sees his time increase, you can expect his numbers to increase.
Richard Hamilton, G Sunday 10/5, 8:59 PM CT
Richard Hamilton came off the bench to play 21 minutes in the first Pistons preseason game of 2008, and he recorded 12 points, two rebounds and three assists.

Our View: Hamilton will look to use the club's new direction behind the bench in Michael Curry to boost his numbers after a somewhat down scoring season of 17.3 points which was his lowest mark since his rookie season in 1999.
Rodney Stuckey, G Sunday 10/5, 8:50 PM CT
Rodney Stuckey scored a team high 23 points off the bench on Sunday in the Pistons 95-91 victory over the Heat in their first preseason game. On this night he proved that he can cause some serious damage as he also had four boards and five assists before fouling out.

Our View: Stuckey will likely be in the hunt to NBA Sixth Man honors this season if the team follows through on its plan to run him out there for roughly 30 minutes a game.
Rasheed Wallace, F Sunday 10/5, 5:52 PM CT
Rasheed Wallace (foot) was able to full practice on Saturday after being limited on Friday, according to MLive. Wallace will start for the Pistons on Sunday night.

Our View: Wallace is slowly fading with the onset of age, but he can still be counted on for solid numbers on most nights and his all-around game will still draw substantial notice on draft day.
Amir Johnson, F Saturday 10/4, 5:34 PM CT
As expected, Amir Johnson has been named the Pistons' starting power forward, according to the Detroit News. Coach Michael Curry said, "Amir does things without having to have the ball. He's able to pick up baskets through his activity, by running the floor and playing off the other four guys. He does all the intangible things, and through that he's able to create offensive opportunities for himself."

Our View: Johnson ranks as a favorable late-round pick as a sleeper following his designation as a starter with Detroit. He beat out Jason Maxiell and Kwame Brown for the job.
Rasheed Wallace, F Friday 10/3, 1:28 PM CT
Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace missed part of the team's practice on Friday due to soreness in his feet, according to the Detroit News.

Our View: Wallace practiced the first two hours before sitting down. The team expects him to practice on Saturday and play in their exhibition game Sunday.
Richard Hamilton, G Wednesday 10/1, 6:59 PM CT
Richard Hamilton had a bit of a down season last year, but he seems happy now that Flip Saunders is gone and Michael Curry is now in charge according to the Detroit News. "I was disappointed at the way Flip (Saunders) did things, that was the frustrating thing about it," he said. Hamilton wouldn't get into specifics, but his major point of contention with Saunders was that he didn't hold all players accountable for their actions. "It's a new season and I am glad MC is the coach. You can't look to the past. I am glad to move on and focus on the season ahead of us."

Our View: Hamilton hit a career high 62 three-pointers last year while shooting 44 percent from beyond the arc. Owners would like to see him take more and they could get their wish as Hamilton continues to get older. Hamilton also had his best assist-to-turnover ratio last season. Expect these trends to continue and his scoring average to get a little closer to 20 this season.
