Clips acquire F Novak from Rockets
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Clippers acquired forward Steve Novak from the Houston Rockets Wednesday.

In return, Houston will have the option to exchange second round picks with the Clippers in 2011.

Novak averaged 3.9 points while connecting on 34-of-71 three-pointers in 35 games for the Rockets last season.

"Steve is a terrific perimeter shooter who will definitely help open the floor and create more opportunities for our post players," said Clippers general manager Elgin Baylor. "We are happy to bring him to Los Angeles."

Yao Ming's Team China has been eliminated from the Olympics Wednesday with a 94-68 loss to Lithuania, according to the Houston Chronicle. Yao shot 4-for-8 from the field, and scored 19 points with seven rebounds. Yao said, "I think we have taken a journey on Olympic history. I am glad at the situation, but am regrettable about the results."

Our View:He played 33 1/2 minutes in the loss, which was his longest outing in Beijing.

Yao Ming scored a team-high 16 points with five rebounds (over 18 minutes) for Team China, but was not enough to overtake Greece, who comfortably won 91-77.

Our View:Yao will try to get China back on track against Lithuania on Wednesday (in the quarter finals).

Center Yao Ming had a great game against Germany, scoring 25 points and snaring 11 rebounds to lead China to a 59-55 win, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:Ming scored 30 in his previous game against Angloa, so he has clearly turned it on. Fantasy players should be pleased that the stress fracture in his foot appears to be fine.
