Kobe Bryant will announce the date he plans on having his hand surgery on Monday via kb24.com according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: It is expected to take at least six weeks to fully recover but don't be surprised if Kobe pushes this. He should be ready to go for the Lakers season opener and it's doubtful he will show much rust. Kobe is a virtual lock as a top-3 selection in NBA fantasy circles.

Andrew Bynum, C

The AP reports that Andrew Bynum is ready to go. According to the seven-footer,“The knee’s good. Everything’s ready to go, 100 percent. I’ve been training, getting stronger.”

Our View: Bynum was averaging a double-double before his knee gave out on him last season. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to playing with Pau Gasol, but don't expect a decline in production. He is just 20 years old and should continue to blossom into one of the game's most dominating big men. Keep an eye on him in the preseason to confirm his confidence in the knee.
