Darko Milicic is pleased with the idea of being dealt to the Knicks in exchange for Zach Randolph, according to ESPN.

Our View: The main attraction to New York would be to play for coach Mike D'Antoni. Milicic's fantasy stock wouldn't increase much with the Knicks, and he would still only hold value in the blocks department.

Darrell Arthur, F

Former teammates at Kansas, Memphis' first-round draft pick Darrell Arthur and Miami's second-round pick Mario Chalmers were thrown out of the NBA's Rookie Transition Program after being caught in a hotel room with marijuana, according to ESPN.com.

Our View: Arthur and Chalmers were sent home for violating program rules, NBA spokesman Brian McIntyre confirmed. Both players should receive substantial fines and will also be subject to suspensions.

Mike Conley, G

Wednesday 9/3, 11:53 AM CT

The Memphis Commercial-Appeal labeled Mike Conley as the "presumptive starting point guard" in a column on Wednesday.

Our View: That's not a major assumption, but we're betting Kyle Lowry will have something about Conley's status during training camp. Conley started 46 games last season, while Lowry started only nine. Still, we see this as a potentially tight training camp battle.

O.J. Mayo, G

Monday 9/1, 11:59 AM CT

Calvin Andrews, the former agent for Grizzlies guard O.J. Mayo, has been suspended for one year by the NBA Players Association, according to the L.A. Times. Andrews was suspended because of recruiting improprieties, though the specifics remain unknown.

Our View: This should not hamper Mayo in any way, as he moved on to other representation, and looks to be an impact player for Memphis.
