Report: Miami C Magloire out six to eight weeks
Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Miami Heat center Jamaal Magloire will reportedly miss at least six to eight weeks after breaking a bone in his left hand in the team's preseason game against the New Jersey Nets in Paris, France on Thursday.

Magloire suffered a fracture of the third metacarpal in his left hand during Thursday's exhibition loss. The 30-year-old center returned to Miami to be evaluated, while the Heat remained overseas to take on the Nets in London, England on Sunday.

Udonis Haslem started for the Heat in Sunday's preseason game in London against the Nets. He played center in the second half in place of Mark Blount who had just one rebound in 21 minutes. Haslem finished with four points, four steals and six rebounds.

Our View:Haslem could see plenty of time at center this season as the Heat's other options are pretty weak.

Michael Beasley recorded a double-double in Sunday's 94-92 preseason loss to the Nets, with 12 points and 11 rebounds over 26 minutes of action. He also notched two assists and a steal.

Our View:Beasley should fare well right away as a rookie, but his fantasy value could be limited while playing in a talented rotation at forward.
