Wolves lose Brewer for remainder of season
Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Minnesota Timberwolves forward Corey Brewer will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Brewer was hurt Saturday against Denver and an MRI exam Monday revealed the severity of the damage. A date for surgery has yet to be determined.

Mike Miller scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds but the Timberwolves fell to the Bobcats 100-90 on Monday night.

Our View:Miller is only averaging 12 points a game and if he is owned he should probably be on your bench.

Updating an earlier report, Corey Brewer will miss the remainder of the 2008 campaign due to a torn ACL in his right knee, according to TSN. Minnesota's vice president of basketball operations Kevin McHale stated, "This is a tough situation for Corey and we feel for him. Corey has worked extremely hard on his game. He was starting to really feel comfortable on the floor and was playing well. We'll miss his energy, defensive-mindedness and toughness moving forward."

Our View:Brewer provided favorable depth off the bench for the Wolves, but was a non-factor as a fantasy forward as he only averaged 6.2 points and 3.3 boards per game.

Our View:Ryan Gomes' fantasy value will improve with more playing time. Brewer averaged 6.2 points over 20.5 minutes per game this season.
