A King among men: Abdur-Rahim back in Sacramento
Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - The Sacramento Kings named the recently- retired Shareef Abdur-Rahim as an assistant coach Wednesday.

A 12-year NBA veteran, most currently with the Sacramento Kings, Abdur-Rahim announced his retirement on September 22 due to a reoccurring knee injury.

Abdur-Rahim was well known in the Western Conference with stops in Portland, Vancouver and Sacramento along with a brief stint in the Eastern Conference with Atlanta. He averaged 18.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game over 830 career contests.

Our View:Douby should see more playing time in his third season with the Kings, but won't likely be productive enough to garner fantasy interest.

Beno Udrih is practicing this weekend for the first time since straining his left hamstring Wednesday, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View:Udrih is questionable for Sunday's game, but the ailment isn't serious. Bobby Brown could start at point guard if Udrih is held out.

Bobby Brown scored a game-high 22 points in Friday's 94-85 win over the Thunder. He also registered two rebounds, four assists, and two steals over 31 minutes of action.

Our View:The rookie out of Cal State-Fullerton saw extended minutes with Beno Udrih out with a hamstring ailment, and Brown seized the opportunity with a strong performance.
