November 29, 2008 When Eagles safety Brian Dawkins picked off his first pass of the season the other night, it was the 34th of his career, which tied him with Eric Allen and Bill Bradley for the most in franchise history, according to the Our View:Dawkins has been one of the best safeties of his generation, and arguably a Hall of Fame player, but that's for others to decide. |

November 16, 2008 Safety Brian Dawkins limped off the field late in the first quarter of the Week 11 game against the Bengals. Our View:Dawkins is a tough guy who tends to fight through injuries, so we wouldn't be surprised if he comes back in this game. We'll update his status when more is known. |

October 5, 2008 Safety Brian Dawkins recorded a sack in the Week 5 loss to the Redskins. It was the 20th sack of his career, and Dawkins is now one of only four defensive backs with 20 sacks and 20 interceptions in his career. LeRoy Butler, Rodney Harrison, and Ronde Barber are the others. Our View:Consider this just another notch on Dawkins's impressive resume. He is also a six-time Pro Bowl pick and a five-time All-Pro selection. |
