November 30, 2008 Buccaneers defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin is considering a move to the University of Tennessee to join his son, Lane Kiffin, the Tampa Tribune confirms. Lane Kiffin has accepted the head coaching job, and Monte would be the defensive coordinator. Our View:Monte has been the Bucs defensive coordinator since 1996, and they've been a top-10 defense on an annual basis. If this move happens, the Bucs would likely promote from within or bring back an old face, but it's hard to imagine this defense not taking a step back without Kiffin. |
