Mark Brunell is looking comfortable in the pocket and is fitting in well in New Orleans, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Our View:He will battle Jamie Martin for the top backup job at quarterback behind Drew Brees.
March 17, 2008
Mark Brunell is the likely number two QB for the Saints, as of now. This according to the New Orleans Times Picayune. Coach Payton commented on him and former top backup Jamie Martin, "Mark's a veteran player. It's no secret we were actively pursuing a few veteran quarterbacks. We were fortunate to sign Mark last week. That being said, I had a chance to visit with Jamie last week and it probably negates his opportunity here. The two years we spent with Jamie and him being a part of this team has been outstanding for all of us."

Mark Brunell has landed in New Orleans, according to the Washington Post. Terms of the deal are yet to be released. Brunell should compete for the backup job behind Brees.
March 10, 2008
Mark Brunell is set to visit the Saints on Tuesday, this according to a report on ESPN. The Trent Green signing will likely mark Brunell as a bit of a commodity as one of the few experienced, veteran QB worth signing. According to the report Burnell has lost 10 pounds and he is a prime target of the Saints and Packers who need veteran depth.
March 7, 2008
Mark Brunell is drawing interest from Atlanta and New Orleans, according to the Washington Post. Brunell is close to Atlanta quarterbacks coach, Bill Musgrave, and he’s scheduled to visit the Saints next week. At this stage of his career, Brunell is better suited to be the third quarterback, rather than the primary backup.
