For the second time this month Eddie Kennison was released by the Rams, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Our View:Kennison did not catch a pass in three games with the Rams and with the release his career might be over.

Eddie Kennison was not without a job for long. Just hours after he was released by the Rams, he was signed by...the Rams, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch. The Rams got new injury information on receiver Dane Looker, who might not be ready for Week 6, so they needed more depth at receiver.

Our View:In two games with the Rams Kennison has not caught a pass and you wouldn't expect that to change much now that he is back on the roster.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch beat reporter Jim Thomas is reporting on Team 1380 radio in St. Louis that the Rams have released wideout Eddie Kennison and will promote Derek Stanley from the practice squad to replace him. Kennison was signed last month after Rams' receiver Drew Bennett was injured in the season-opener.

Our View:Kennison had appeared in two games but had not caught a pass yet this season. This could signal the end of the 35-year-old's career. Stanley is unlikely to hold any fantasy value.

Eddie Kennison will see his first action of the season this weekend against Seattle, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He said, "I'm ready. I was ready last week. I'm here to play football. I might not show much on the outside, but you can't see my insides. If you could, you'd see that they're churning."

Our View:The 35-year-old vet is up to speed with the offense, but does not merit fantasy consideration with a tough battle at Seattle. The Rams' offense has struggled the first two weeks as well.
September 17, 2008
With rookie receiver Keenan Burton out of action following knee surgery, Eddie Kennison is likely to play in Week 3 at Seattle, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Kennison was a pregame inactive last Sunday against the Giants.

Our View:Going by the way the Rams' offense performed in the first two weeks of the season, no receiver holds much fantasy value other than Torry Holt.
September 14, 2008
The newly signed Eddie Kennison is inactive for the Rams today.

Our View:This isn't surprising given that Kennison just signed this week, but it makes the Rams receiving corps even thinner with Drew Bennett out.
September 9, 2008
Wide receiver Eddie Kennison has signed a one-year deal with the Rams, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. The 35-year-old veteran could be ready to suit up as soon as Week 2. Kennison spent the last six years with the Chiefs but missed much of 2007 due to a hamstring injury.

Our View:With Drew Bennett out due to a busted foot, the Rams needed receiver help. Kennison should have no trouble (re)learning Al Saunders's offense, and he could move into a starting role before too long. We don't foresee Eddie having much fantasy value, though.
September 9, 2008
Eddie Kennison is reportedly going to visit the Rams, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:He would be considered as a possible replacement for the injured Drew Bennett. Rookie Donnie Avery is ailing as well, leaving the Rams with a thin receiving corps. Kennison would be returning to the team that he began his career with back in 1996.

Former Kansas City wide receiver Eddie Kennison is still waiting on a return call from Tampa Bay. Kennison, who was hindered by a torn hamstring last year, worked out for the Buccaneers last month, but has yet to receive a training camp invite, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Our View:Kennison’s reception, yardage and touchdown totals have taken a nosedive in each of the past three seasons. At this stage, even if he latches on in Tampa Bay, his fantasy value is extremely diminished.
May 22, 2008
Receiver Eddie Kennison is reportedly on the Buccaneers' radar, according to the Tampa Tribune. John Hamilton ( Kennison’s agent) confirmed the 13-year veteran worked out for Tampa Bay’s coaching staff on Monday. Hamilton also said Kennison, who was hindered by a torn hamstring last season, passed the physical.

Our View:Joey Galloway is the number one receiver in Tampa Bay, but the number two role and beyond are up for grabs. If Tampa Bay is interested in signing Kennison, it likely will not happen until June 1. The 35-year old receiver has 548 career receptions for 8,345 yards and 42 touchdowns, and could still contribute and be productive with the Buccaneers, if he can just stay healthy.
February 26, 2008
The Chiefs released Eddie Kennison on Tuesday, according to the KC Star. Kennison proved to be an underrated fantasy receiver for a couple of seasons, twice topping 60 catches and 1,000, but his production tailed off in 2006 and injuries limited him to just six games and 13 catches in 2007.
