November 14, 2006 ESPNEWS reports that the Patriots have signed veteran quarterback Vinny Testaverde. This could be a sign that the team is not confident in backup quarterback Matt Cassell, or the Pats might just be protecting themselves by getting a third quarterback on the roster. |

June 19, 2006 The agent for Vinny Testaverde said his client has not filed retirement papers and is open to returning to Cleveland for the upcoming season, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Ken Dorsey currently is the primary backup for the Browns, but coach Romeo Crennel admitted that Testeverde remains his Plan B at backup. |
