The Lions played it safe with Jon Kitna Saturday, letting him rest his sore back. He did not play against the Colts. J.T. O'Sullivan got the call in Kitna's place, finishing 24-of-34 for 232 yards, with one TD and two interceptions. For what it's worth, most of that production came in the second half against Indianapolis backups.

I’d love to see him go. It’s day-to-day right now. He’s just tight in his lower back, so we’ll be smart with him.” Kitna suffered the injury during practice on Tuesday.
