The Browns placed tackle Ryan Tucker on injured reserve on Saturday ending his season, according to the AP.

Our View:Tucker missed the first four games of the regular season due to a hip fracture, but returned to action on October 13 in the Browns’ 35-14 win over the New York Giants. However, he had been inactive the last two games due to a left knee injury. Tucker is scheduled to have the knee scoped next week.

Ryan Tucker is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Jaguars due to his knee injury, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

Our View:Tucker is a solid starting right guard, and the Browns' offense could suffer if he is unable to go against a tough and under-rated Jaguars' defense.

Right tackle Ryan Tucker may need right knee surgery. He did not play in Week 7 after being a key cog in Week 6. "There's a lot of wear and tear on that knee, and it got impacted because he had to play the whole [Giants] game," head coach Romeo Crennel tells the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "So, it swelled up on him a little bit. It's gotten better, but we'll have to see."

Our View:The Browns may need to stick with Kevin Shaffer, which is a pity considering how Tucker played in Week 6.

The Browns will lose one right tackle, but gain another this week, as Ryan Tucker, who has been out with a hip injury, will likely start at the position in place of Kevin Shaffer, who suffered a concussion last week, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

Our View:Shaffer has suffered multiple concussions, and he is dealing with a broken hand as well. Thankfully for Cleveland, it coincides with Tucker's return to health.
October 6, 2008
Ryan Tucker remains hopeful that he will be able to return from offseason hip surgery in Week 6, according to the Browns Official Website. "Every week it's feeling more natural, more normal. I'm real close right now."

Our View:If the Browns have any hope of salvaging their season they have to start immediately, and a healthy Tucker would certainly improve their chances.
