Newsbreakers
October 7, 2008
ESPN is reporting that Matt Hasselbeck will play for the Seahawks in Week 6. Hasselbeck hyperextended his knee against the Giants but a MRI revealed no structural damage.

Our View:It has been a rough start for Hasselbeck in 2008. He has only thrown two touchdown passes to go along with four interceptions. The number that is really disturbing is the 49 percent completion percentage.
October 6, 2008
Matt Hasselbeck's injured right knee received a positive review after an MRI was clean, according to The Seattle Times. He is expected to practice this week.

Our View:It's been a rough start for Hasselbeck and most of the Seahawks offense early in the year, but at least Matt escaped serious injury. He is obviously expected to play in Week 6 against the Packers.
October 6, 2008
Matt Hasselbeck is slated for X-rays and an MRI today after sustaining an apparent hyperextended knee during Sunday's blowout loss to the Giants, according to The News Tribune.

Our View:Hasselbeck walked with a noticeable limp after the game, and was in a considerable amount of pain. Seneca Wallace would handle the starting role at quarterback if Hasselbeck is forced to miss any time.
October 5, 2008
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck was pulled late in the third quarter of the Week 5 game against the Giants. Seneca Wallace took his place. The Giants were up 37-6 at the time.

Our View:Hasselbeck stuck around after hurting his right knee early in the game, but he wasn't terribly sharp. There was no need for the Seahawks to risk any further injury.
October 5, 2008
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck returned for the next drive after injuring his right knee early in the first quarter against the Giants.

Our View:Hopefully the Bald Bomber can fight through the pain. The Seahawks have had more than their fair share of passing game pains thus far.
